SecurShred Passes Annual Security Audit

August 30 , 2007 in SecurShred in the News

The National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) has recertified SecurShred for mobile and plant-based operation. The annual audit certifies that SecurShred has the appropriate security safeguards in place to meet the NAID guidelines. This audit marks the fifth consecutive year that SecurShred has been NAID certified.

Not just a NAID member, SecurShred’s certified status with NAID means that strict security guidelines must be maintained. Some of these include:

– Background checks on employees (residence, social security number trace, criminal) – Pre-employment and random drug screening – Audit of destruction equipment – Audit of warehouse facility security including locks, sensors, cameras, access points, sign-in/out sheets – Strict operational security policies and procedures
