SecurShred Helps with Hurricane Irene Cleanup

By in , ,

Driving through communities this past week in the wake of Hurricane Irene was simply heartbreaking.  Most homes and business were caught off guard by the extent of the flooding that took place. Locations that had never seen flood waters rise so high were not prepared to handle the devastation that hurricane Irene managed to cause.

After the water started to recede the true damage could be seen by the water marks left on buildings and the amount of personal possessions that home owners started piling on their lawns.

SecurShred, a NAID Certified Document and Hard Drive Destruction Company was there to help flooded communities with the clean up. Their powerful shredding machines are able to shred through most anything including wet/damp documents.  Many businesses and home owners were simply caught unaware that they would be victims to the flash

flooding. Many people store sensitive documents in their basements or on their first floor in filing drawers/cabinets. When the water rose to such heights so quickly there was no time to save or move files. Now the clean up has begun in the aftermath of Irene and SecurShred is there to help with the safe, secure destruction of ruined documents as well as removal and recycling of water damaged electronic equipment.

SecurShred has been helping communities throughout northern, central and southern Vermont since 2000 and is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
